Malka's Community Flower Garden

About a year ago, I told Shelli at Hydrangeas are Pretty that I'd be happy to sew blocks that their friends make together, to make a quilt for their newly-adopted daughter.  If you know me, you know I'm a sucker for any baby ... and especially for any baby who finds a loving home.

Little did I know, at the time, the chaos of selling our house and living in a camper (forever) with four kids and two dogs!  Moving 1500 miles.  Remaining in a camper for longer than anticipated, etc. etc.  Needless to say, everything I used to do has been way-layed in some form or fashion.

But, with a little help (and moola), Shelli's daughter, Malka, finally has a beautiful quilt!  I hope she enjoys "Malka's Community Flower Garden!"

More Camera Fun!

Notice, I even got the SHADOW under the ornament?  oooh, so excited!

My boy, what eyelashes!

Notice the pure excitement on this child's face, because she and Dora are beating her brother in checkers!

The epitome of Christmas -- one really messy but colorful house, made with the hands of holiday love and waiting to be enjoyed by those young and old.

This would be our alien nephew-dog.  His name is Rayban and he belongs to my husband's sister.  She went on a little holiday trip and we're helping to dog-sit him.  He's got a hurty on his leg that he won't leave alone, so we collared him today.  Do you see the shame through those big puppy dog eyes?  Begging.  Pleading.  "Someone, please release me from this humiliating contraption."  KB says it's a fine accessory for a male dog.  Better than a purse!
